Welcome to the University of Cincinnati! We're glad you're here and happy to help you. Use the following as a guide to setting up your technology before you arrive on campus and after you get settled in.

Before You Arrive

Set Up Your Password Profile

Use Password Self Service (PSS) to setup your password profile. PSS allows you to reset your password without calling the IT Service Desk.

Enroll a Device in Duo

The University of Cincinnati uses Duo Security for two-factor authentication. Duo helps protect your UC password from would-be hackers.

Set Up Email (and more) with Microsoft Office 365

Sign into email with your UC username and password at mail.uc.edu/. Access other Microsoft Office web apps (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams) from the app launcher (waffle menu) on the top, left-hand side of the screen.

Connect to Video & Web Conferencing Tools

Echo 360, Kaltura, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom—the official web conferencing tool for teaching and learning at UC.

Get the UC Mobile App

The UC Mobile App gives you access to campus maps, shuttle trackers, OneStop and more.

Once You Get Here

Connect to Wireless

Use your UC username and password to connect your computer or wireless devices to WiFi.

Stay Informed with Emergency Text Messaging

Although not recommended, you may opt-out of this service. NOTE: UC will not sell your information; user is responsible for any charges from their phone carrier.

Get Hardware & Software

There are many options available to students, faculty, and staff for purchasing discounted hardware and software, installing software, and repairing devices. 

Visit a Computer Lab

Need access to software? Visit the Langsam Library Computer Lab on campus or use MyDesk for virtual access to computer lab software.
